The Nike Sock Racer, initially launched in 1986,
is going to be redesigned with Nike’s revolutionary upper technology, Nike Flyknit.
“NOT FOR EVERYONE” – the theme of the sneaker was a bit edgy yet true due to its novel design.
Its concept of “following my way” is just like how we wish it to be!

The Nike Sock Racer, which was released in 1986, featured a sock-like minimal design with two thick stripes supporting the feet and a stretchy mesh upper without shoe laces. The innovative concept was mostly perceived as unbelievable at the time but also “weird” in a good way.
31 years later, the new Sock Racer still retains its minimal design but with an upgraded functionality. Namely, Nike Flyknit was adopted for the uppers. Additionally, the outsole is comprised of two different materials and the sole under the heels are upgraded with Nike Air cushioning for enhanced incredible comfortability.
